Raytheon is seeking a Program Operations Manager to be located onsite in Andover, Massachusetts supporting the Ship System Integration and Sustainment portfolio of programs as part of the Naval Systems and Sustainment Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).  The Program Operations Manager is the interface/conduit between Operations and the Integrated Program Leadership Team. This individual is accountable for communicating schedule and cost performance for Operations deliverables across a portfolio of programs within multiple factory locations. This includes coordination of resources to eliminate barriers and operate with a sense of urgency and clarity of priority in the factories as well as leading proposal development of new programs and/or scope.
 

What You Will Do

  • Program focal for all manufacturing/hardware deliverables across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Communicates production status, risks and opportunities, and strategic initiatives to both the external and internal customers, offering solutions and implementing corrective action within a timely manner. To be successful in this role, the candidate will possess outstanding team building skills and will work closely with other Cross Business Teams and Integrated Program Teams to achieve both strategic and execution objectives for the program's hardware deliverables.
  • Support leadership reviews including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Customer Reviews and Program Reviews
  • Develop and execute risk and opportunity management plans
    Support proposals, developing BOEs for touch and support labor, capital requirements
  • Lead CORE projects to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead a team of POMs in multiple locations (Andover, Chesapeake, San Diego)


What You Will Learn 

This role will provide this candidate the opportunity to lead and manage across a dynamic portfolio of products that touches multiple value streams, program managers, and customers. This role will expand one's network within the factory value stream leads and their leadership teams, multiple IPTs, and CBTs/functions. This portfolio will provide experience executing production in development, production, and sustainment lifecycles and will require them to lead a team of POMs to support the variety of products and high volume of hardware deliverables.  The individual must be willing to travel between manufacturing sites.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Experience leading teams and resolving issues across multiple disciplines / functions
  • Experience with manufacturing systems and tools (PRISM, PDM, WAWF, OTDH, Power BI)
  • Experience in hardware sale process / DD250
  • Experience managing manufacturing KPIs
  • Ability to develop proposals and defend ToRs
     

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with all phases of RLPM product lifecycle (Development, Production, Sustainment)
  • EVMS certified
  • Experience leading or supporting CORE projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
