As a Production Test Technician 2 at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Communications Solutions Business Unit as a member of the F22 CNI team.

What you'll get to do:

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair CNI hardware from full assemblies to the component level following written test procedures and provide feedback to engineering as needed for process improvements.

  • Operate test equipment, environmental chambers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, network/signal analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, torque wrenches, etc.

  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble modules, subassemblies, and systems.

  • Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products.

  • Follow all program and site security requirements.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs.

  • Pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction are required, be willing to work in a production and repair environment with production goals and deadlines

  • Perform work responsibilities with limited supervision.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that includes extended shifts, may include holidays, and weekends as required.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Production Test Technician 2 based out of San Diego, CA.

May be assigned to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications Production Test Technician 2:

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience.

  • Other relevant experience or education (military, completed or ongoing advanced education, etc.) may be acceptable in lieu of direct electronics technician experience.

  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF electronics

  • Experience with reading and interpreting schematics and drawings

  • MS Office experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications Production Test Technician 2:

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • SAP clearances/experience.

  • Advanced education and/or experience in testing and troubleshooting CNI systems.

  • Demonstrable knowledge in RF electronics, including tuning, testing, and/or troubleshooting RF filters and amplifiers.

  • Developmental or operational test experience.

  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing systems (SAP, Solumina, Tableau, etc.)

  • Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.

  • Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).

  • Experience with FAR, ITAR, AS9100, and/or ISO 90001 rules and regulations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
