What you'll be doing

As the Senior Lead Manager for Record Remediation and PrivateLink Update initiatives, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for the maintenance, integration, and implementation of OpenText software applications and associated technology solutions. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive project delivery, ensure operational stability, and manage incident, problem, and change activities for these critical technology projects. You will partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and vendor teams to achieve strategic outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days may be remote. This role also requires occasional travel.

How you'll succeed

  • Production Support Engineering – Lead the execution of Record Remediation and PrivateLink Update technology initiatives, developing strategic roadmaps and ensuring timely, transparent project delivery.

  • Technology Integration and Support – Oversee solution requirements, design reviews, technology test planning, and coordinate software application testing, change management, configuration, installation, and ongoing support.

  • Operational Stability and Incident Management – Manage incident, problem, and change activities, including major incident response and root-cause resolution to maintain operational stability and performance.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and vendor teams to drive strategic outcomes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Team Leadership and Development – Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

  • You possess strong technical expertise. With 8-12 years of recent experience in Production Support Engineering, you have led technology teams, managed production incidents, and ensured prompt restoration of service.

  • You oversee the execution of Record Remediation and PrivateLink Update technology initiatives, implementation of OpenText software and develop strategic roadmaps, and drive timely, transparent project delivery.

  • You are well-versed in monitoring, alerting, logging, and support tools. Your approach aligns technology initiatives with broader business objectives, supported by extensive knowledge of banking products, services, and industry regulations. You have substantial experience in IT service management and a comprehensive understanding of incident, problem, change, and major incident processes.

  • You have a degree. A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field or relevant certifications is required.

  • You’re a collaborative leader and a strategic thinker. You thrive in cross-functional environments, leading teams and partnering with stakeholders to drive outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • You’re skilled in communication and stakeholder engagement. Your verbal and written communication skills enable you to provide clear updates on service health, risks, and improvement activities.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
