This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Do
Coordinating production team activities to deliver performance for the shift/line
Developing team members through training programs and timely coaching and feedback
Modeling and promoting behaviors to drive a culture of safety and quality compliance
Driving operational efficiencies and understanding performance based on key metrics
Promoting a continuous improvement culture using problem-solving skills
Managing expenses, including labor and overtime costs
Modeling and promoting accountability to our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures
Ability to communicate with cross functional teams
Ability to lead tier meetings
Ability to provide daily production updates
Managing up to 30 direct reports
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience involving people leadership, operational execution, or quality/safety oversight in manufacturing, production, logistics, or comparable structured environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Science, Food Science, Engineering or a related field
1+ year leadership experience

The base pay for this position is
