Reporting to the Weekend Night shift Surface Finishing Supervisor, as the Process Technician – Grit Blas, Ovens, Lacquer - working in the Surface Finishing department, you will be responsible for performing various honing duties in support of production requirements.

Work Shift: Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

What You Will Do

  • Part fixturing, loading and unloading and the general support of the process facility
  • Ensure strict attention is paid to temperatures, times in and out, batching of parts, logging and tracking of components
  • Ensure both the safety of the operator and the components
  • Work in a safe team-oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation and execution of LEAN principles
  • Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
  • Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedure
  • Preparation of components for plating processes (i.e. masking, cleaning, tooling, lacquering)
  • Grit blasting of aircraft components in preparation for plating/painting.
  • Act as a cross functional team member and support/perform masking for plating and other processing applications as requested.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work
  • Development in the cell.
  • Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma, with 1 or more years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in material handling and hoist operations
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated experience with industrial painting, masking, and sealing

The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD – 81,003 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
