Process Quality Internal Auditor III
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct complex internal audits to ensure QMS compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage audit schedules, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Ensure comprehensive adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of corrective actions for audit findings.
- Drive strategic process improvement initiatives and support continuous quality enhancement.
- Train and mentor junior auditors and other staff on quality standards and audit procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate quality standards into all processes.
- Develop strategies for ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Manage external audits and supplier audits.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ Years as an auditor, or in a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced knowledge and utilization of AS9100, ISO 9001 and other applicable Military and statutory standards and specifications.
- Experience participating in external audits as guide.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certified Auditor or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and database experience.
- Experience with Statistical Analysis Methodology.
- Communicate and present internal audit information.
- Experience participating in external audits as facilitator.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Familiarization with Six Sigma.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.
- Majority of work hours spent on a computer.
- Hand/finger dexterity for using office equipment.
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional travel may be required for audit activities at different locations.
