Location:  This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2  days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Process Improvement Consultant – Pharmacy and Infusion provides dedicated Quality support for pharmacy and clinical infusion operations, with a primary focus on incident and non-conformance investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and continuous improvement.

Responsible for conducting thorough and timely investigations of quality incidents and non-conformances, evaluating contributing factors and potential impact, and partnering with operational and clinical stakeholders to determine root causes and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Uses data, quality methodologies, and process improvement tools to identify trends, reduce recurrence, strengthen processes, and promote sustainable improvements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Serves as a quality partner to the business, providing guidance and recommendations that support patient safety, operational excellence, and compliance with regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and internal quality requirements.
  • Conducts comprehensive investigations of pharmacy and clinical infusion incidents, non-conformances, and quality concerns, reviewing relevant documentation, data, processes, and workflows to determine contributing factors, impact, and root cause.
  • Performs root cause analysis (RCA) using appropriate quality and process improvement methodologies and partners with Operations, Clinical, Compliance, and other stakeholders to validate findings and identify systemic issues.
  • Identify areas of concern & implement corrective plans if necessary. Uses reports and production statistics to represent unit(s) in departmental process improvement and system changes and provides specialized input on reports to management. 
  • Develops and recommends corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) that address identified root causes, mitigate risk, reduce recurrence, and support sustainable process improvement.
  • Partners with business owners to establish action plans, responsibilities, timelines, and measures of effectiveness; monitors CAPAs to evaluate implementation, effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Communicates significant findings, trends, risks, recommendations, and improvement outcomes to Quality leadership and business partners and supports reporting for Quality governance and committee activities.
  • Ensures quality activities align with applicable regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and internal quality requirements and supports additional Quality Management Program initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: 

  • RN or Certified Pharmacy technician preferred
  • Experience with Qualityze, ERX or CareTend platforms a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Tableau preferred
  • CURES, Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
