Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the role of Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist supporting the Advanced Land Sensors Operating Unit – GATOR Production Team, with experiences in supply chain management and/or related fields (including business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, and manufacturing).   This position is located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist responsibilities will encompass:

  • Management of on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule
  • Management of material budgets for contract requirements.  Supporting baseline/EVMS requirements
  • Accurate reporting and forecasting of material cost/performance of assigned program(s)
  • Execution of duties as CAM to support program PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities
  • Identification and management of program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements
  • Analysis of material lead times and identification critical path procurements
  • Monitoring and addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
  • Supporting program proposal activities (BOE’s creation, CBOM review, etc)
  • Supporting the development of supply chain strategies – including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources
  • Coordination of program activities between various supply chain management functions including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers, etc

Basic Qualifications Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of supply chain and/or business management experience or master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of supply chain and/or business management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Program execution experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • US Citizenship

         

Preferred Qualifications: 
    

  • Shop order launch experience
  • Development/IRAD/CRAD program execution experience
  • Software procurement experience
  • Experience with ZRPIs, BOEs, and QUEST runs
  • Non-MRP procurement experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with proposals
  • Material CAM experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
