Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.In this role, you will serve as the Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer (RE) across multiple vendors for supplier-developed installations, guiding source selection and collaborating on system architecture to ensure components meet performance and airworthiness requirements.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the system architect or supporting the architect in defining high-level and component-level requirements.
- Evaluating and verifying requirements to ensure compliance with airworthiness criteria.
- Defining design and test requirements to flow down to suppliers via procurement documents.
- Collaborating with suppliers to deliver products that meet requirements, program schedule, and cost targets.
- Attending or presenting at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and formal milestone reviews to provide or obtain progress updates.
- Thriving in a dynamic, high-expectation environment with diverse assignments and cross-level teamwork.
- Operating as a self-starter with minimal direction to successfully manage responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer (Level 3) OR Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer (Level 4) level based on the qualifications below.
Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer (Level 3)
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.
Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up with suppliers.
Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer (Level 4)
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.

Experience in Aircraft Crew and Equipment subsystems design.
Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up with suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with integration of cabinets, pallets, seats, electrical cabinets, etc.
Experience with software tools such as NX and/or CPLM.
Experience writing and reviewing technical documents including SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, and SDRL reviews.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions within cost and schedule constraints across engineering lifecycle phases.
