The F-35 Modification Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) Principal Production Planning and Scheduler is responsible for collaborating with multiple disciplines to plan, integrate and execute modification/retrofit tasks associated with specific engineering changes for scheduled modification events. This is an embedded position with the Lockheed Martin Modification Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) team comprised of several industry partners including Northrop Grumman. We are seeking an experienced professional to perform analysis of Initial Retrofit Plans (IRP) and establish milestones to support modification/retrofit events. The successful candidate will work within the F-35 Planning & Integration organization to accurately coordinate critical planning and scheduling information with multiple project managers, authors, supply personnel, planner/schedulers and leaders to achieve program objectives.
*** This Position will be staffed as either a Level 2 or Level 3 Production Planner and Scheduler
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Cradle to grave project management.
- Development of briefings on modification status.
- Conduct project reviews.
- Plan modification events.
- Develop mod work packages.
- Assist in requirements development.
- Compile, author and distribute several recurring AV MUO Operation reports and performance deliverables for review by various stakeholders within the F-35 Program.
- You will provide reach-back technical support to field maintainers/mod teams during verification/proofing events of assigned projects.
- Must have a strong work ethic, be willing to work a flexible work schedule and have a good self-start initiative.
- Must be willing to work overtime and travel occasionally.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 2: 2yrs of experience in Depot Planner and Scheduler or Contract Field Team and a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Aviation Management, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical or business degree; or a master's degree with 1 year of applied experience.
- Level 3: 5yrs of experience in Depot Planner and Scheduler or Contract Field Team And a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Aviation Management, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical or business degree; or a master's degree with 2 years of applied experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must have a current Government Secret Clearance or higher.
- Must be able to obtain Special Access Program clearance, if required.
- Aircraft aviation maintenance on military or commercial aircraft.
- Military Aviation Plans and Scheduling (P&S).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Project/Program Management principles and methods.
- Depot level maintenance scheduling experience
- Aircraft debrief, maintenance control, or Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) experience
- Experience managing multiple projects using long range planning techniques.
- Event planning and scheduling experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and Tableau.
- Experience working under supervision and taking ownership for assigned tasks/projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong working relationships with peers, stakeholders, and customers in order to advance supportability for assigned projects.
- Superb analytical and presentation skills; excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing.
