Full time On-site.
The CAM/OPM (Control Account Manager / Operations Program Manager) is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of control account budgets, schedules, scope and technical performance measurement. Responsible for all manufacturing and/or Development efforts of project execution, and cost.
What you'll get to do:
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management, production, planning, procurement, supply chain, project team, and line management.
- Act as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
- Act as primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customer to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation of proposals; prepare and review all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, create master production schedules, and coordinate material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery.
- Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention and problem solving with Project Managers, Line Managers, Program Management and Clients.
- Drives continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities.
We are seeking a Principal Production Operations (level 3) located in San Diego, CA. This position is on-site.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience that includes a background in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering, operations or business. 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications to include advanced skills using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Strong Excel skills to include utilization of Pivot Tables.
- Experience with MRP Knowledge: gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and MES Systems.
- Experience with EVMS processes, baseline forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and Control Account Management (CAM) experience
- Experience managing Integrated Master Schedules and overall hardware status
- Experience reading engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools
- Experience with project leadership and/or process improvement
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Ability to maintain clearance - Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale. Interpreting data provided by SAP, PDM and Solumina Systems.
- Experience with presentation skills to senior leadership.
- SharePoint experience.
- Experience with Tableau and Solumina systems (or similar shop floor systems).

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
