Principal/MTS Vapor/Thermal Etch Development Engineer, Advanced DRAM Wet Etch

As a Principal/MTS Process Development Engineer with a focus on Vapor/Thermal etching, you will be part of a revolutionary Advanced DRAM Technology Development team. The position promises ample opportunity for innovation, collaboration and testing new dimensions in Advanced DRAM.
You will work directly with Process Integration, equipment development engineers, hardware vendors and other process areas including Dry Etch, Metals, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography and CMP. You will work on state of the art and best in class tooling and own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals!
- Develop and integrate advanced thermal, vapor, and atomic layer etch processes for next-generation DRAM technologies
- Lead feasibility studies, technical investigations, and root-cause analysis to resolve complex process challenges
- Drive process roadmaps, technical readiness, and yield improvements to meet program objectives
- Collaborate with Process Integration, equipment development, hardware vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Contribute to intellectual property development and evaluate emerging technologies to influence future strategy
- PhD with 5+ years of professional experience OR a master's degree with 7+ years of professional experience
- 10+ years of experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and experience developing thermal, vapor, or atomic layer etch processes
- Demonstrated success solving complex technical challenges using root-cause analysis or model-based problem-solving methods
- Expert knowledge of thermodynamics, gas-phase reactions, transport phenomena, and reaction characterization, with experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical process control (SPC)
- Programming or scripting experience supporting data analysis, automation, or process modeling
- Experience applying AI-enabled tools to improve engineering workflows, research, or process optimization
- Experience using AI-assisted analytics to enhance data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
