Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Logistics Planner to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite; remote work is not available.

The selected Candidate(s) will work in the Product Support - Logistics & Modernization organization on the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, as well as, E-2C Hawkeye and C-2 Greyhound to provide logistics spares support which includes Processing Tactical Spares Requests for Quotes for DLA and other customers. Selected applicant may be asked to perform a wide range of Logistics Support tasks within the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Research of various aircraft systems

  • Providing logistics support to various other functions e.g. Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Pricing, etc.

  • Developing and reporting Metric data

  • Reading technical aircraft drawings

  • Maintaining various databases and spreadsheets

  • Inspect new deliveries and create required shipment forms

  • Coordinate with DCMA to achieve buy-off of Spares Deliveries

  • Supporting Spares conferences with customers

  • Takes initiative to complete tasks

  • prioritize work and execution based on guidelines

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations in order to ensure reports are competed in an efficient manner within existing financial constraints and procedures in order to meet customer needs and company objectives. The Planner builds relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through direct communications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Logistics Experience with a Bachelors, 3 years with a Masters, 1 year with PHD or 9 years of military and or logistics experience

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance

  • Experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint

  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Project

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Ability to write a schedule based on supplier quotes

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

  • Ability to review and analyze customer solicitations to determine if a quote can be produced

  • Experience in assisting with the development of metrics and procedures
               

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance

  • Previous experience in the DD250/WAWF Submission process

  • Experience with FAR/DFARS

  • Experience coordinating with DCMA

  • Experience using SAP

  • Ability to develop and improve processes
     

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
