The Principal Financial Analyst will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, building scalable solutions, and helping transform the way Finance operates globally. This team partners across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Digital Technology, and business teams to simplify processes, standardize reporting, implement automation solutions, and improve the quality and speed of financial insights.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned
- Lead and execute enterprise-wide automation and continuous improvement initiatives that transform financial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and create measurable business value across the Global Supply Chain Finance organization.
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact opportunities to eliminate manual activities, streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and increase organizational productivity.
- Partner strategically with Supply Chain Finance, FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, and Digital Technology leaders to define business requirements, align priorities, and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy automated reporting, interactive dashboards, data models, and workflow solutions that improve visibility, accelerate decision-making, and enhance business performance.
- Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, robotic process automation (RPA), advanced analytics, and digital tools, to modernize finance processes and elevate decision support capabilities.
- Build compelling business cases and implementation strategies that secure stakeholder alignment, prioritize investments, and accelerate value realization.
- Lead process discovery, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and solution design workshops to uncover inefficiencies, solve complex business challenges, and drive transformational change.
- Measure, track, and communicate business impact, ensuring project benefits are realized and sustained while providing regular updates to finance and business leadership.
- Drive global process standardization and governance by establishing consistent financial processes, reporting frameworks, and best practices across regions and operating units.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on automation, continuous improvement, financial systems, and process optimization methodologies.
- Lead change management and adoption efforts by developing training strategies, driving stakeholder engagement, and ensuring successful integration of new tools and processes.
- Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across a complex global organization to remove barriers, accelerate execution, and deliver strategic business outcomes.
- Challenge existing processes and champion innovation by continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and organizational effectiveness.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation, empowering teams to embrace new technologies and ways of working that enhance business performance.
- Own project delivery from concept through implementation, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.
Requisition Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant Finance, FP&A, Operations Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Consulting, Business Transformation, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, Alteryx, Redwood, Power Platform, SQL, Python, Snowflake, or similar analytics tools.
- Strong financial planning and analysis background, including forecasting, planning, financial modeling, and business case development.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and enterprise financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional projects from ideation through implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes and deliver measurable improvements.
- MBA, CPA, CMA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Supply Chain Finance, IBP, manufacturing finance, or operations finance.
- Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions, generative AI workflows, robotic process automation (RPA), or intelligent automation platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP, OneStream, or enterprise planning systems.
- Experience facilitating process improvement methodologies such as Lean, DMAIC, Kaizen, or A3 problem solving.
- Experience developing executive-level reporting and dashboards.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering productivity savings, cycle-time reductions, or financial process improvements.
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
