We are seeking a Systems Engineer to perform Software Configuration Management (SWCM) within the IFC Management team on the Strike Program. This role operates in the DevOps space of Systems Engineering and supports IFC releases by controlling software baselines, media, and associated documentation. The ideal candidate is process-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in secure environments and across multiple engineering teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform SWCM for IFC-related software baselines, including version control, change tracking, and build/release documentation.
  • Plan, support, and document Software Review Board (SRB) meetings (agendas, minutes, and action tracking).
  • Execute software media transfers and maintain documentation in accordance with CM and security requirements.
  • Serve as safe custodian in a secure area, ensuring proper logging, control, and accountability for stored media and artifacts.
  • Review SDRL (Supplier Data Requirements List) deliveries for completeness, correctness, and alignment with program expectations.
  • Create, update, and release documents and configuration items in Teamcenter/CPLM.
  • Support IFC release activities by maintaining accurate, auditable configuration records that align with the IFC build/release cadence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or Masters in STEM and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have foundational understanding of configuration management and/or software development lifecycles.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and adherence to process.
  • Ability to work in secure environments and handle controlled media and artifacts responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Software Configuration Management on complex or software-intensive programs.
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter/CPLM and supporting review boards (e.g., SRB, CCB/CRB).
  • Experience with SDRLs, supplier data review, and secure media handling/logging.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
