Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Engineering Planning Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
This position will be supporting the Product Support organization and the Support Equipment Engineering department, leading technical operations related tasks and projects in support of the Engineering Management.
Essential Functions for Engineering Planning Analyst (but not limited to):
- Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules.
- Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
- Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
- Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.
- Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience must be within the Aerospace or Defense Industry, or within Project Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with staffing, onboarding, or new hire experience.
- Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in developing executive level presentations.
- General understanding of Product Development, Test & Verification.
- Experience with creating and executing to a project plan.
