Premium Notebooks Senior Product Planner
Description -
The Premium Business Notebook team is seeking a customer-focused product planner to lead the planning for an innovative, high-impact Agentic AI-infused premium business notebook.
Key Responsibilities:
Voice of Customer, Insights, and Product Requirements
Continuously partner with customers and HP insights, research, category, and data analysis teams to refine segmentation/personas, define key use cases, identify key market trends, and synthesize actionable insights.
Define differentiated product innovations, requirements, and success metrics; drive data-backed trade-offs validated through customer testing and proof points.
Identify cost/value optimization opportunities to improve PFV and fund new features and experiences.
Product Value Proposition, Portfolio Positioning, and Competitive Strategy
Lead cross-team workshops and customer validation to build and refine the value proposition, experience priorities, and messaging.
Position the product within the HP portfolio and against competitive offerings.
Create a competitive “how we win” story with clear proof points.
Influence specs, configurations, and attach rates to enable launch claims, proof points, and demos for key experiences.
Product Narrative, Customer Journey, and Experience Storytelling
Create a clear and compelling product narrative and translate it into compelling assets to sell your product internally to key stakeholders, and externally to customers.
Map end-to-end customer journeys for key experiences and keep journey documentation current.
Tell the integrated story of the product and innovations across experiences: what it is, why it matters to customers, and how HP can capture differentiated value.
Experience Progression, Curation, and Ecosystem Readiness
Own the experience curation plan and ensure experiences are discoverable and easy to adopt.
Partner with cross-functional experts on deep dives to improve experiences; support software ISV evaluation/testing/demo and selection to strengthen the ecosystem.
Conduct competitive experience analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and differentiation; deliver clear messaging inputs to product marketing and product NPI teams.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
10+ years in product management, product planning, or product marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing (or related); MBA strongly preferred.
Customer focus: Passion for connecting with and understanding customers, and clearly understanding their spoken and unspoken needs
Experience with AI tools; Agentic AI strategy, planning, and associated use case experience is a plus
Energized by experimentation and continuous learning.
Communication: Strong cross-functional communicator who can translate complex technology into clear customer narratives; confident presenter.
Technical fluency: Solid foundation and curiosity to learn quickly and become a subject-matter expert on key technologies and experiences.
Execution: Highly organized and detail-oriented; sets deadlines, manages stakeholders, and drives projects to completion while juggling multiple workstreams.
Growth mindset: Fearlessly seeks feedback, learns from wins/setbacks, and moves quickly to next steps.
Writing: Strong writing and collateral-creation skills; samples will be requested.
Marketing: Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals with creativity and confidence to develop innovative communications and solutions.
Language: Fluent in English.
Location: Houston-based or willing to relocate to Houston.
The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
