We are looking for a driven and talented individual contributor to become a part of our DevSecOps Platform Engineering Team, a critical part of our software development and delivery ecosystem. As a member of this dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensure the security and stability of our development environments, and support the deployment of high-quality software solutions.
The Department’s mission is to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.
This position is full-time on-site in Marlborough Massachusetts.
What You’ll Do
CI/CD Pipeline Development and Maintenance: Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to streamline and enhance software development and delivery processes.
Agile Practitioner: Actively participate in agile practices, fostering collaboration within the team to ensure successful delivery of high-quality products and encourage continuous improvement.
DevSecOps Integration: Assist in integrating security best practices into the development lifecycle to ensure compliance with industry standards and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Infrastructure Management: Maintain and upgrade the development environment infrastructure, including tools and frameworks, while effectively handling emergent situations (including off-hours) when necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, program subject matter experts (SMEs), and Digital Technology (DT) and Cybersecurity teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions.
Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting development pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Automation and Innovation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks while supporting innovative approaches to improve workflows and enhance efficiency.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor pipeline performance and provide detailed reporting on key metrics to ensure optimal functionality.
Debug and Integration: Address stability issues in common trunks and support the integration and testing of real-time embedded application software on Linux and Windows platforms.
Development Environment Maintenance: Support tools such as ClearCase, Perl, Jenkins, Smartbear Collaborator, Grafana, Coverity, and Matlab. Assist with the migration to container-based environments, including Git, GitLab, Podman, VSCode, and Artifactory.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., bash, perl, python, etc.).
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes, particularly in scripting, testing, and reviewing.
Experience with Configuration Management (CM) tools such as ClearCase, Git, GitLab, etc.
Experience with Agile and Scrum principles to support workflows and team processes in Jira.
Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory as eligibility for a security clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
Analytical thinker with the ability to handle high-pressure scenarios and deliver effective results.
Hands-on experience debugging, testing, and maintaining development environments.
Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and test automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab runners, and Grafana for visualization.
Experience with Linux operating systems in both user and administrative capacities.
Experience with tools like Smartbear Collaborator, GitLab, or other source code review tools.
Familiarity with static analysis tools like Coverity or similar solutions.
Experience with version control and development tools such as Git, Jira, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Matlab, and Coverity.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
