Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of vibration test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Support early integration/checkout activities for the PBACM vibration lab. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel Program.
Final grade level offered will be based on suitable applicant experience.
Job Description: PBACM Test - Mechanical Test Conductor/Maintenance Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support the development, integration and testing of a missile system. To help operate and support our the Huntsville Integration and Test Facility, and to support the qualification and acceptance testing of the PBACM element during its dynamic testing.
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
Technical knowledge of design, construction, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of dynamics test labs / equipment used for vibration, acoustic, shock, modal, and tap testing. Includes:
UD Electrodynamics shakers
UD solid-state amplifiers
Hydraulic bearing systems: High Pressure Pumps, hoses, etc…
Support Dynamics Test Facility upgrades / reconfigurations / repairs for systems including (but not limited to):
Electrical and cooling lines for shakers
Internal components / modules / heat exchangers
Hydraulic Team bearings and power supplies
Pneumatic bearings and facility infrastructure
Program and maintain a maintenance schedule for all test equipment
Support calibration and proof load activities for test equipment, as needed
Able to plan and arrange cost estimates / ROMs for purchasing hardware including manpower hours related to facility hardware repairs / upgrades / installations.
Recommend hardware options and defined modifications to the facility. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, processes, or new testing requirements.

Able to plan daily test / task operations
Program and run vibration test computers
Install, calibrate, and remove accelerometers

Basic Qualifications:
Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
Required for both levels:
Must have an Active U.S. Government DoW Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
4 years of related test lab experience, to include maintaining test equipment, supporting lab upgrades, programming and running vibration test computers, installing, calibrating and removing accelerometers
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc…)
Mechanical and electrical aptitude and electronics fundamentals
Experience using basic tools (torque wrenches, drills, etc.)
Ability to work on elevated platforms and lift equipment up to 30lbs
Experience using common test and measurement equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Interim DoD Secret clearance
AA or equivalent experience
5-10 or more years of experience working in a dynamics test or facility maintenance environment
Familiarity with vibe and shock testing methodologies
Knowledge and/or experience working in aerospace
Ability to take direction and follow company procedures and processes
Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision
