The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. This is an onsite position.

The Payroll Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for working with the financial operations team to ensure accurate, timely funding, general ledger and reporting. The position requires strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and consistency in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

What You'll Work On:

  • Prepare and process general ledger balancing accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage and support vendor payments
  • Receive and process audit and reporting request timely and accurately
  • Process and manage stop payment requests, ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and system updates.
  • Administer weekly benefit and tax funding, ensuring required amounts are calculated, funded, and recorded accurately.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, IRS, state tax rules).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC certification.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and union/non-union environments.
  • Familiarity with payroll reporting and analytics tools.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
