Operations Manager II - Aircraft Modification
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage complex manufacturing operations, production control, and inventory control activities.
- Lead and implement advanced process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
- Prepare, manage, and optimize budgets for operational departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive operational policies and procedures.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field of study.
- 9+ years of operations management experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to cultivate a safety-first culture and maintain high levels of technical workmanship.
- Thorough understanding of and experience with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Progressive experience with materials management systems.
- Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Professional certification in Lean manufacturing processes, implementation or Six Sigma.
- Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six-sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints Manufacturing Principles.
- Understanding of Assembly, Integration, and Test practices.
- Understanding of airworthiness principles, safety programs, and operational readiness expectations.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work on a computer for the majority of the work shift.
- Hand/finger dexterity for data entry and document handling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required.
- Ability to read detailed operational documents, reports, and computer screens.
- Ability to inspect operations and facilities, potentially in different lighting conditions.
- Ability to navigate large facilities, including climbing stairs or ladders if necessary.
- Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for site visits or other work-related travel.
- Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as adjusting small controls or tools during inspections or demonstrations.
- Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments such as manufacturing floors or during team meetings.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $113,428.57 - $155,964.28. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
