JOB DESCRIPTION
First call line support during HoV build. Provides Engineering assessment on issues stopping production during run of New Product or Program.
Responsible to review and/or validate design manufacturability during design release and after BOM release to correct any escape that will impact manufacturing process continuity.
Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on work area.
Works autonomously with limited supervision on higher, moderately complex projects or assignments.
Communicate effectively within and outside of own team to explain facts, policies and practices related to work area.
Can influence decision makers with recommended courses of action.
Problems may span a range of issues or work areas and are typically solved through exercise of discretion and/or judgment, drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area.
Procedure writing to set standards.
Ensure KPI’s / metrics of the team are met
All other tasks that are deemed appropriate by Product Engineering Manager.
Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
3 – 5 years of experience in engineering operations, manufacturing engineering, New Product Introduction Engineering, or similar technical roles.
Knowledge of engineering development and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year.
Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan.
With at least a year in his/her current position.
