JOB DESCRIPTION

• First call line support during HoV build. Provides Engineering assessment on issues stopping production during run of New Product or Program.

• Responsible to review and/or validate design manufacturability during design release and after BOM release to correct any escape that will impact manufacturing process continuity.

• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

• Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on work area.

• Works autonomously with limited supervision on higher, moderately complex projects or assignments.

• Communicate effectively within and outside of own team to explain facts, policies and practices related to work area.

• Can influence decision makers with recommended courses of action.

• Problems may span a range of issues or work areas and are typically solved through exercise of discretion and/or judgment, drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.

• Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area.

• Procedure writing to set standards.

• Ensure KPI’s / metrics of the team are met

• All other tasks that are deemed appropriate by Product Engineering Manager.

• Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.

• 3 – 5 years of experience in engineering operations, manufacturing engineering, New Product Introduction Engineering, or similar technical roles.

• Knowledge of engineering development and manufacturing processes.

• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

• Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year.

• Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan.

• With at least a year in his/her current position.
