Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking an Operations Coordinator who will report to the Director of Operations on the Operations team. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for managing the flow of customer orders through the production process by coordinating work order releases, production scheduling, and order fulfillment activities. This role ensures production schedules align with material availability and capacity, monitors build progress, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to communicate order status, mitigate risks, and deliver exceptional customer service.

This position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the process of reviewing and releasing work orders from generated sales orders to the master production schedule while maintaining high accuracy and calling out possible errors related to production process.
  • Scheduling order lead times based on material availability, customer needs, and available production capacity.
  • Monitor build progression against planned rate and milestone commitments.
  • Communicate schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans to Operations leadership.
  • Manage the partnership with the Logistics Coordinator and Sales Operations team to deliver timely, accurate updates to customers on order status, expected ship dates, and reasons for any delays.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an operations environment overseeing timely operations execution.
  • Working knowledge of Bill of Material’s, routing structures, revision control and work order lifecycle.
  • Excellent Google ecosystem skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM or related analytical field
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, or RF/Radar Production environments
  • Experience in process development and optimization
  • Experience supporting LRIP or rate ramp production.
  • Understanding of configuration-controlled products
  • Understanding of  capacity planning concepts

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office environment.
  • Outdoor environment for demonstrations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
    • Lift equipment up to 15 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.
    • Walking/Moving in the labs.

COMPENSATION: $30-38 / hourly
