The Operations and Maintenance Tooling Support (MTS) Manager leads all activities related to equipment maintenance, calibrated tooling, and overall asset reliability to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role provides strategic operational leadership, drives cross-functional alignment, and oversees key initiatives including EH&S compliance, capital project coordination, and development program execution.
What You Will Do:
- Primary Responsibility: Maintenance Tooling Support (MTS) Leadership
- Lead and manage all Maintenance Tooling Support activities for the business unit, ensuring equipment reliability, optimized performance, and proactive maintenance strategies.
- Oversee calibrated equipment, tooling, and gages to ensure full compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
- Partner with Facilities, Engineering, and Production teams to maintain equipment readiness that supports business unit operational objectives.
- Coordinate capital equipment planning, installation, and improvement projects with internal Engineering teams and external suppliers.
- Manage vendor relationships, project timelines, and resources to ensure successful and cost‑effective project execution.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring appropriate cost controls while supporting operational effectiveness.
- Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation to achieve near‑term and long‑term business unit goals.
- Operational Oversight Across All Shifts
- Ensure equipment operations and maintenance support across all production shifts to minimize downtime and sustain consistent flow.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Customer Support, and shift leadership to meet daily operational requirements.
- Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the business unit.
- Ensure compliance with all EH&S policies, regulatory obligations, and site‑level safety programs.
- Production and Performance Management
- Drive operational performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Support deployment of the Standard Production System (SPS) and achievement of cell objectives in schedule, compliance, safety, and productivity.
- Maintain continuous visibility into production status to ensure equipment, tooling, and resources meet demand.
- Leadership, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide clear, consistent communication across the business unit and cross‑functional teams.
- Engage regularly with upper management at WPB and HSMC to deliver operational updates, identify risks, and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead day‑to‑day operational decision‑making to support safe, reliable, and effective operations.
- Development Program Execution
- Lead implementation of new technologies, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive cross‑functional coordination to ensure successful program execution.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction
- Identify and lead initiatives focused on efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and overall operational enhancement.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 12+ years of relevant industry experience
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Ability to attain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Qualifications We Value:

- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with SAP preferred

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
