None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking an NPI Material Planner who will support the successful introduction and release of new products by coordinating material readiness, planning activities, and cross-functional inputs. As an NPI Material Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are available, system data is accurate, and manufacturing requirements are aligned with program schedules and customer needs.
Your mission: to ensure material completeness and readiness for NPI releases by identifying shortages, coordinating with Procurement and cross-functional teams, maintaining accurate SAP data, and providing visibility into material status and risks.

This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do:
- Set up assembly parts and maintain accurate material and planning data in SAP to support NPI releases and manufacturing readiness.
- Generate and manage workflows, coordinating timely inputs from cross-functional teams including Material Data Planners, Subject Matter Experts, Quality, and Design.
- Perform material analysis to identify shortages, communicate risks, and coordinate with Procurement to establish lead times and recovery plans.
- Ensure material completeness and system demand alignment with program requirements before releasing manufacturing orders.
- Define manufacturing order lot sizes and coordinate material planning activities with Materials, Shop Floor, and Project Engineering teams.
- Partner with Shop Floor Planners and SMT Schedulers to align NPI releases, special orders, shipment requirements, project plans, and customer needs.
- Ensure Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other planning data reflect the latest CDRs, Deviations, and Change Requests (CRs).
- Provide material status, shortage, and NPI due/overdue visibility to program teams and recommend alternate parts or solutions when appropriate.
- Monitor workflow progress, participate in program meetings, and follow up with functional teams to ensure timely completion of required inputs and actions.
- Prepare material planning reports, maintain audit-ready SAP documentation, and continuously improve material management processes to reduce delays and improve NPI execution.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience or knowledge of material planning, inventory management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and ability to drive effective corrective actions.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product launches, or manufacturing readiness activities.
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, manufacturing orders, or production planning.
