Amentum is seeking a NGIS Reservation Agent to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The NGIS Reservation Agent will manage guest reservations for the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS), ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and compliance with Navy lodging standards.
Job Responsibilities
· Process check-ins, check-outs, cancellations, modifications, and special requests using approved lodging management systems.
· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with room availability, policies, amenities, and general inquiries.
· Maintain accurate reservation records, occupancy reports, and daily logs in accordance with NGIS procedures.
· Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure room readiness and timely resolution of guest needs.
· Verify eligibility requirements for military, government, and authorized civilian guests.
· Handle payments, receipts, and financial transactions in accordance with established guidelines.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and Navy leadership regarding guest issues, facility concerns, and operational updates.
· Support front desk operations, including phone coverage, guest assistance, and administrative tasks.
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across all NGIS operations.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of experience in reservations, customer service, hospitality, or lodging operations.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
· Passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
· Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign
Clearance Guide.
· Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of assignment.
· Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
· Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience supporting Navy lodging programs, NGIS operations, or military
hospitality environments.
· Familiarity with Navy lodging standards, reservation systems, and customer service
procedures.
· Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow administrative
and technical instructions.
· Experience working in remote, shipboard, industrial, or lodging environments.
· Valid driver’s license.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work
schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.
Physical Requirements
Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas
location.
