MS Project Integrated Master Scheduler
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Integrated Master Scheduler to support an Army Product Manager at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Integrated Master Scheduler will develop, integrate, and maintain Integrated Master Schedules that connect defense acquisition milestone decisions, milestone-review documentation, vendor contractual deliverables, hardware production, and delivery and integration onto Army vehicle platforms. The Integrated Master Scheduler will be the focal point for schedule visibility across a multi-tier industrial base where a delay in one vendor’s component can cascade through an integrator and into platform production and you will forecast production shortfalls early enough for leadership to act.
Responsibilities:
Develop, baseline, and maintain program and portfolio-level Integrated Master Schedules that reflect acquisition milestones, documentation required for milestone decision reviews, vendor contractual deliverables, hardware production, and vehicle-platform integration.
Integrate lower-tier schedules from vendors, integrators, Integrated Product Teams, and government activities into a single networked Integrated Master Schedule with horizontal and vertical traceability.
Map multi-tier production and delivery schedules so that slips at any tier are visible against downstream integration.
Forecast production shortfalls and quantify schedule impact to subsequent vendors and to vehicle-platform integration, including “what-if” and recovery scenarios.
Identify, track, and status defense acquisition events and documentation (for example, milestone decision reviews, entrance and exit criteria, and supporting artifacts) so review readiness is visible in the Integrated Master Schedule.
Perform critical path, driving path, float, and predecessor/successor analysis; identify schedule conflicts, logic gaps, and constraint issues; recommend corrective action.
Conduct schedule health assessments consistent with industry and Department of Defense practice (for example, Defense Contract Management Agency 14-point assessment, National Defense Industrial Association Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide, Government Accountability Office Schedule Assessment Guide) and drive remediation with activity owners.
Collect status from program teams and vendors on an established business rhythm; update the Integrated Master Schedule; and produce variance, milestone, and forecast reports.
Prepare briefings, dashboards, and recommendations for program leadership and government stakeholders; support Integrated Product Teams, program reviews, and milestone-related events.
Coordinate across engineering, production, purchasing/contracts, logistics, and project management to align demand, resources, and delivery commitments.
Maintain configuration control of the schedule baseline and document approved changes.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of relevant scheduling, project controls, or program management experience supporting complex programs, preferably in a Department of Defense, defense industry, or mission-critical environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and maintain Integrated Master Schedules for multi-program or multi-vendor efforts.
Experience integrating supplier / Original Equipment Manufacturer or production schedules into a program-level Integrated Master Schedule and analyzing downstream impacts.
Strong analytical skills, including critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis, and identification of schedule risk.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate schedule status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel).
Desired:
Master’s degree in business, Engineering, Project Management, or Operations.
Experience supporting United States Army or Department of Defense acquisition programs, including milestone decision reviews and associated documentation.
Experience with multi-tier hardware production and integration onto ground vehicle or similar platforms.
Proficiency in additional scheduling or visualization tools such as Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Online / Microsoft Project Server, Smartsheet, Milestones Professional, or Microsoft Power Business Intelligence.
Knowledge of the Defense Contract Management Agency 14-point assessment, the National Defense Industrial Association Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide, and/or the Government Accountability Office Schedule Assessment Guide.
Project Management Professional, Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional, or equivalent project/scheduling certification.
Experience briefing at program reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews, or milestone decision events.
