The MRO Technician partners with MRO/Repair Station and OEM functions as required to improve the quality consciousness for the workforce. Conducts quality analyses through audits, process walks, and surveillance for process compliance to Business Quality System (BQS/QMS). Assist with managing process corrective actions and analyzing effectiveness of corrective actions and suspect product containment. Perform other Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) functions as needed. The MRO Technician is responsible for enforcement of quality policies and procedures used by the repair station to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

This is an onsite position located in Burnsville, MN.

What You Will Do

  • Performs and documents Floor Sweep Process walks / Surveillance / Certification reviews.

  • Participates and provides quality support in daily tier meetings.

  • Updates the Approved Signatory List (ASL) Employee Rosters.

  • Updates repair station personnel employment summaries ensuring they are up-to-date and on file in the Quality Department for each employee required.

  • Performs annual ASL stamp audits.

  • Performs repair station periodic proficiency internal audits.

  • Provides quality data to Chief Inspector and Quality Manager regarding quality issues/concerns.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of the repair station Stamp Control/ASL process.

  • Conducts and documents product investigations assisting engineering ensuring Containment / RCCA and Process Improvement strategies are implemented with heavy emphasis on human factors and just culture principles supporting the Safety Management System.

  • Support repair station training needs

  • Provides repair station Audit Support (Internal/External).

  • Provides repair station product technical support.

  • Provides direct quality support to repair station operations, engineering, customer service, materials, and inspection teams.

  • Updates SAP regarding return to service capability.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, customer specification, purchase orders, written and verbal instructions is required.

  • Requires experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in aerospace Quality conducting inspections.

  • Possess a Quality related AA/BA/BS Degree or working towards a degree in quality.

  • Prefer certificated in FAR Part 65 (Airframe & PowerPlant or FAA Repairman).

  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Experience with SAP ERP, TeamCenter PLM System, and other project and engineering related software systems.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
