Model-Based Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support our customer at NSWC Crane.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide engineering and technical support to assist the Electro-Optic Technology Division (LXN)
Responsibilities:
MBSE collaboration with MK 160 group to develop a Cameo model of the MK 20 Mod X and integrated with the Gun Weapon System model.
Collaborate with the MK 160 group to architect, develop, and integrate a SysML-compliant Cameo model of the MK 20 Mod X into the overarching Gun Weapon System (GWS) architecture.
The MK 160 group will provide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for interface and behavioral validation. In addition, communication with the group has been established and understand the importance of this effort.
An established baseline of the GWS Cameo model is available and accessible.
In addition to the electro-optical sensor system (EOSS) and GWS model interface, candidate will build out a separate requirements verification traceability matrix model in preparation for environmental and functional testing phases.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering Discipline
Model-Based Systems Engineering experience
Experience with SysML
Ability to write clear reports and specifications in English
Ability to interface with team members, technical leads and Project Managers
Able to collaborate with small working group
Able to articulate the modeling at a high level to leadership
Ability to work alone on individual projects with minimal supervision and with other Engineering Disciplines on a team
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Good verbal (English) communication skills
Must be a US Citizen to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
Desired:
Active Secret security clearance
Experience working with Electro-Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), and Laser Technology programs
DoD Acquisition experience
