What You Will Do
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will......
- Collaborate with engineering team in the resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, ensuring engineering excellence, all with supervisor oversight.
- Partner with engineering team to provide design intent to Product Definition for creation of drawings and models.
- Work with engineering team to generate development hardware design solutions that meet the objectives of the test engines and facilitate the delivery of the development hardware to the test engines on schedule.
- Engage with Operations to address production issues and evaluate hardware nonconformances to facilitate the timely delivery of production hardware.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
- Experience delivering presentations, writing reports or documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX, ANSYS, and classical methods of analysis.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment demonstrating attention to detail and deadlines.
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
