The Standard Missile 3 team is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to join the SM-3 IIA program as a Material Program Manager located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. We are looking for a self-starter who can develop and achieve program objectives in a matrixed environment and is able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In this role, you will be the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Management Team. The role will support the development portfolio. Candidate will be responsible for seeing program awards through the RLPM gate process, ensuring material strategies align with evolving program requirements to integrate into the production value stream. This includes identifying future at-risk components, developing mitigation plans, and supporting overall material readiness. You’ll contribute to the execution of Material Program Strategies and Plans to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through integration to production.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • Ownership of Material Forecast and identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Manage material budgets and support EACs.
  • Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement/management.
  • Participate in supplier engagements and review to ensure supplier performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain role.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Experience supporting developmental engineering programs.
  • Project management experience.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
