Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who is a strong leader with demonstrated proposal writing skills and interest in providing very hands-on involvement. The Material Program Manager (MPM) will be a highly driven and results-oriented individual, adept at defining and achieving organizational and program objectives while successfully collaborating with all levels of internal management. This role resides within the Airborne Spectrum Dominance team, which is dedicated to cutting-edge design and development efforts. As an individual contributor, the MPM will play a pivotal role in influencing the program's overall objectives and long-term goals alongside the Integrated Product Team (IPT). Serving as the primary liaison to management and internal stakeholders, the MPM will work closely with the Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts teams.

What You Will Do

  • Overseeing and leading all supply chain activities across assigned programs to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
  • Providing strategic guidance to the program management office and leadership team on material strategies, procurement plans, and execution.
  • Driving the development and management of quick-turn proposals, often within tight deadlines, such as 10- and 30-day proposal requirements common within Airborne Spectrum Dominance.
  • Managing a wide range of projects including IRADs, CRADs, capital programs, and customer-funded contracts across multiple operational sites.
  • Executing the make/buy/where decision-making process to optimize sourcing strategies and program outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and develop Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs) while ensuring compliance with Raytheon policies and standards.
  • Creating and executing comprehensive Material Program Plans and Subcontract Management Plans in partnership with the Subcontract Administrator.
  • Acting as the primary interface between Program Executives, Program Managers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and the Supply Chain organization, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
  • Representing the Supply Chain organization to communicate and implement policies, strategies, and objectives across all levels of the program.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all supply chain management activities necessary to meet program requirements, fostering collaboration across Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.
  • Partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to develop and maintain a unified schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Monitoring performance metrics, identifying potential risks or issues, and implementing proactive solutions to ensure program success.
  • Developing and executing risk mitigation and opportunity plans to align with and achieve program objectives effectively.
  • This role will require you to be onsite in our McKinney, TX facility.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience collaborating with all functions to develop Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Experience Supply Chain Suite of Tools.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in supplier management (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)
  • Earned Value Management Systems Certification
  • Material Program Management Certification
  • Knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR)
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Material Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Material Forecasting
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, CORE, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies/principals

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
