Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Inventory Planning Controller or a Principal Inventory Planning Controller. This position will be located in Madison, AL
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, and in stock inventory
- Expedites freight charges
- Runs receiving reports to ensure process compliance
- Perform quality audit of receiving transactions daily
- Verify networks and purchase orders in Ryder
- Clear issues with 3rd party shipping companies
- Works to clear negligent charges
- Runs inventory reports to ensure freight billing is costed correctly across appropriate networks
This position’s standard work schedule is a 4/10 schedule. A 4/10 schedule is 10 hour work days Monday-Thursday.
Basic Qualifications:
- For a level 2 : BA with 3 years of experience or a Masters and 1 year of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
- For a level 3 : 6 years of experience with a Bachelors degree, OR 4 years of experience with a Masters degree or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP software for inventory management and tracking.
- Must be highly proficient with Microsoft suite
- Knowledge of freight billing specifically utilizing Ryder
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Very strong communication skills with ability to build customer relationships.
- Strong time management skills and maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of problems independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency to determine and set priorities to meet production schedules; re-establish priorities as schedule requirements dictate.
- Experience working with manufacturing and production ERP systems and closing out completed work orders.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving functions and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Quality clauses and quality requirements.
