A Day in the Life

         

         

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with the Diabetes business.  Medtronic announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and to reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic.  The Diabetes division, now known as MiniMed, completed its IPO in March 2026.  This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility.  As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investment to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.  While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon completion of required local legal and employment processes, we expect your employment to transfer to MiniMed, subject to business needs an any applicable information and consultation requirements in your jurisdiction.

This role supports Regional Diabetes team in Latin America to establish and execute marketing strategies and tactical plans that build profitability and achieve Medtronic growth targets for diabetes business, leading and developing the marketing team for LatAm region, including two product portfolio leaders, customer programs leader and marketing leaders in our Top Countries. This role will coordinate strategies with global OU marketing leadership to ensure consistent brand execution, leveraging synergies between Medtronic’s leading portfolio of diabetes, driving superior market share and customer brand equity, and creating an inspiring, innovative workplace that attracts, develops, and retains talent within team and entire marketing function in Diabetes LatAm region.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s) in Diabetes business.

  • Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities for diabetes portfolio.

  • Interacts directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities.

  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.

  • Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to marketplace.

  • Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.

  • Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions for Diabetes business.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience (people or program), or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience (people or program).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing

  • Experience leading regional marketing strategy and execution across Latin America

  • Experience in diabetes, medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams across multiple countries

  • Experience with product portfolio management, product launches, and market development

  • Experience partnering with global marketing teams to align regional and global strategies

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$192,000.00 - $288,000.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
