Manufacturing Engineer II
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions and process documentation.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Design and implement production tooling and fixtures.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including production flow, workstation layout, and material handling.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process documentation.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.
- Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB).
- Experience with new product introduction and transition to production.
- Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Circuit card assembly component troubleshooting, repair, or assembly
- Understanding of ESD prevention measures
- Knowledge of RF circuitry design and working principles
- Experience working in the electronics industry
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
