The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role works with design, production, and other cross-functional teams to support manufacturability, resolve manufacturing issues, and introduce new products and processes while meeting company, industry, and regulatory requirements. 

 

What You Will Do  

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. 

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to support the manufacturability of new and existing products. 

  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and manufacturing flow diagrams. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards. 

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues. 

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety requirements. 

  • Support the introduction of new products and processes, including equipment selection, installation, and validation. 

  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and areas for process optimization. 

  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. 

  • Provide training and technical support to production personnel. 

Qualifications You Must Have:  

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related engineering field. 

  • 2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, or soldering. 

  • 2+ years of experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. 

  • 1+ year of experience using CAD software and applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. 

 

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • Experience in aerospace or a related industry. 

  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality standards. 

  • Experience supporting equipment selection, installation, and validation. 

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems or data analysis tools. 

  • Six Sigma certification or formal Lean Manufacturing training.
