Location: Remote

The Manager, Sales Management & Leadership Training plays a pivotal role in developing high-performing sales leaders across the organization. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating leadership development programs that enhance coaching effectiveness, strengthen performance accountability, and elevate execution throughout the sales organization.

As a highly visible, field-facing leader, you will partner closely with front-line sales managers to build leadership capability, reinforce coaching best practices, and ensure learning translates into measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to empower leaders to develop their teams, drive consistent execution, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and performance excellence.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership, helping to identify development opportunities, implement targeted training solutions, and support the ongoing growth of both new and experienced sales leaders.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead the development and evolution of sales management and leadership training programs for front-line sales leaders, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and organizational goals.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning experiences focused on coaching excellence, performance management, accountability, and execution in the field.
  • Partner directly with District Managers through field visits, ride-alongs, and coaching observations to strengthen leadership capability and reinforce best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sales leaders by providing actionable feedback, identifying development opportunities, and helping managers translate training into everyday behaviors.
  • Empower managers to effectively balance sales execution, forecasting, financial accountability, and operational priorities while maintaining a strong coaching culture.
  • Drive consistent application of leadership standards by embedding training, coaching, and reinforcement into field routines and team operating rhythms.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Training, Regional Sales Trainers, and Sales Leadership to identify capability gaps and implement targeted development solutions.
  • Establish and evolve leadership readiness and certification standards to support manager effectiveness and long-term organizational success.
  • Measure training impact through field observations, coaching effectiveness, and execution metrics, continuously refining programs to meet business needs.
  • Stay current on leadership development, sales management, and adult learning best practices to bring innovative approaches to the sales organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial experience, with significant time in sales leadership or manager roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in coaching, performance management, and field execution
  • Experience developing or delivering sales leadership or sales management training programs
  • Strong field credibility with the ability to influence experienced managers
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Masters) or relevant certifications in sales training, adult learning, or business expected for proficiency
  • 12+ years in commercial/sales roles with 5+ years in sales leadership or frontline manager development
  • Experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or other complex B2B selling environments
  • Formal training in coaching methodologies or leadership development
  • Experience working within structured certification or capability models
  • Exposure to adult learning or instructional design principles
  • Coaching sales rigor and observational discipline
  • Leadership credibility and influence
  • Field sales execution excellence
  • Systems thinking (linking training, coaching, and performance)
  • Ability to lead peers without formal authority
  • Strong judgment and situational insight

The base pay for this position is

$113,300.00 – $226,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
