This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will lead the analysis and reporting of sales performance for ADC. This role and the team reporting to it will provide leadership oversight, coordination and planning, to execute the financial planning processes and ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of financial information.
The main responsibilities of this position include (1) analysis of sales in key markets including price/volume, market penetration, market share, product launches, portfolio strategy, patient acquisition and retention, and channel inventory trends; (2) lead development of ADC Plan, Latest Best Estimates (RLBE) and strategic long-range plans (OEM); (3) review and consolidation of actual sales performance; and (4) communication and presentation to senior executive management on sales performance and analytics.
This role is responsible for delivering analytics and business support to enable informed decision making by the executive staff as well as presentation of performance summaries to be shared with senior leaders across the organization. The Manager, FP&A is also a key link to the Commercial and Operations teams within ADC. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What You'll Work On
This position requires an individual who proactively identifies business opportunities and challenges, drives fact-based decision making, and delivers actionable financial insights and results.
Lead analysis of key ADC performance indicators, including price-volume variances, market penetration, market share by diabetes therapy segment, new product launches, portfolio strategy, patient acquisition and retention, and channel inventory trends
Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performing finance organization through talent development, engagement, and recruitment.
Coordinate, consolidate and develop an Annual Plan, Latest Best Estimates (RLBE), strategic long-range plans (OEM) and other financial forecasts for all commercial aspects of ADC division.
Manage communication between Division FP&A and various finance teams including Commercial Areas, Marketing & Operations
Drive continuous improvement through process simplification, automation, and stakeholder feedback.
Partner with ADC leadership and deliver clear financial communications and presentations to senior executives.
Develop and present actionable analytics that drive financial and operational excellence.
Lead month-end close activities and reporting of key financial performance metrics.
Demonstrate agility and adaptability in a dynamic business environment by effectively managing changing priorities and evolving business needs while delivering high-quality financial insights and results
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years in FP&A or related finance roles, with leadership experience.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
Strong communication and executive presentation capabilities.
Ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
Preferred:
Minimum 2 years of Direct management/supervisory experience.
Experience in performance development/review of staff required.
Financial Planning Experience in either a Commercial, Manufacturing or Corporate background
Incumbent will demonstrate problem solving and analysis within a broad framework of Abbott’s financial policies (CFMs), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Business problems are solved through the identification of pertinent data and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation thereof.

The base pay for this position is
$130,700.00 – $261,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
