The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) area.  In this role, the selected candidate will directly support a munitions Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.  This IDIQ covers both domestic, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Foreign Military Funding (FMF) efforts. The Manager, Contracts position will report to a Senior Contracts Manager.  This role demands a multi-faceted Manager, Contracts to solve complex challenges with creative solutions.  The candidate’s attributes should include experience with Department of War (DoW) contracts, IDIQs, terms and conditions, and risk assessments throughout execution. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interface seamlessly with internal and external customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You Will Do 

  • Manage multiple Deliver Orders under a large DoW IDIQ for Production of munitions

  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve execution and contractual issues as they may arise

  • Provide contractual guidance to the execution team

  • Some travel as required domestically for in-person customer meetings (approximately once per quarter)


Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' prior relevant experience

  • Experience with United States Government Contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures

  • Experience with DoW IDIQ contracts

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
