As a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) – Hot Section Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney you will…..
The primary function of this position is to perform as an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. The MRO Engineering Intern will support the overhaul and repair process for Hot Section hardware across the Pratt & Whitney’s family of Military Engines at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City. This position has a key role in the global sustainment effort as it provides a direct engineering link with our domestic and foreign military customers.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work as the onsite Engineering representative of P&W supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
- Create Technical Substantiation Packages (TSP) for non-conforming hardware analysis.
- Assist in part inspections to recover hardware in inventory.
- Monitor and trend hardware health for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and repair tasks activities.
- Provide assistance to Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support, quality issues and logistics planning.
- Work in a customer-facing role.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

- Experience with communicating with a team, delivering presentations and demonstrated leadership, and organizational skills
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
