Job Summary: Keep critical manufacturing operations running smoothly as a Lube Operator at Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Forge site. You’ll play an important role in maintaining the performance and reliability of production equipment by applying lubricants, managing filters and fluids, performing equipment inspections, and identifying potential issues before they impact production. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

This is a Weekend Day Shift position: Friday - Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

What You Will Do:

  • Apply lubricant to disks and manufacturing equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Perform scheduled fluid and filter changes and inspect equipment for leaks, wear, damage, or potential failures.
  • Measure and inspect lubricated parts, including lubricant thickness using a Phynix thickness gage, to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of lubrication applications, inspections, filter changes, and other required activities.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, assist with troubleshooting, and support corrective actions as needed.
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport material, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, lubrication systems, or preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and process specifications.
  • Experience using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  • Forklift experience or certification.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
