Value Engineering (VAVE) & Cost Optimization:

Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising product quality, reliability, or performance.
Develop innovative design and process improvement recommendations to optimize product cost and manufacturability.
Drive cross-functional cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement teams.
Support strategic sourcing decisions through cost analysis and benchmarking.
Sound knowledge on mechanical engineering fundamentals, product design and drawing standards.
Interpret component drawings, assemblies, and BOMs; proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA) and knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM preferred.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance and cost.
Exposure to electro-mechanical product design is a plus.

Should Costing & Cost Analysis:

Develop detailed should cost models for electro-mechanical components and assemblies using manufacturing process knowledge and cost estimation methodologies.
Perform cost breakdown analysis covering material, machining, fabrication, assembly, tooling, overhead and logistics costs.
Validate supplier quotations/Price through should cost analysis and provide recommendations for supplier negotiations or further actions.
Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend cost-effective alternatives for improved competitiveness.

Tear-down Analysis & Reverse Engineering:
