JIATF 401 Spectrum Analyst
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Spectrum Analyst to support Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401). The Spectrum Analyst will analyze, assess, and manage electromagnetic spectrum operations supporting Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) missions. This position requires expertise in radio frequency (RF) spectrum analysis, electronic warfare (EW), signal identification, spectrum management, and electromagnetic compatibility to support operational planning, technology evaluations, capability development, acquisition decisions, and mission execution. The Spectrum Analyst will leverage Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, AI-enabled analytical tools, and RF analysis technologies to identify, characterize, and assess electromagnetic threats, optimize spectrum utilization, and provide decision support for senior military and civilian leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct spectrum analysis and electromagnetic environment assessments to support C-UAS operations, mission planning, and technology integration.
- Utilize Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytical tools to evaluate RF activity, operational trends, and spectrum utilization.
- Analyze RF emissions, signal characteristics, communication protocols, and electromagnetic signatures associated with UAS, C-UAS, and other wireless systems.
- Support identification, characterization, and assessment of UAS command and control links, telemetry, navigation signals, and payload communications.
- Develop spectrum utilization plans and provide recommendations to minimize electromagnetic interference and maximize operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate the performance of RF sensors, electronic warfare systems, direction-finding equipment, jammers, and spectrum monitoring capabilities.
- Conduct spectrum surveys, interference analysis, signal deconfliction, and electromagnetic compatibility assessments supporting operational missions and capability development.
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, intelligence analysts, acquisition personnel, and mission stakeholders to evaluate RF technologies and develop mission-focused spectrum solutions.
- Support operational assessments, technology demonstrations, experimentation events, and acquisition activities through RF analysis and technical evaluations.
- Develop dashboards, spectrum visualizations, technical reports, operational assessments, and executive briefings communicating complex electromagnetic information to senior leadership.
- Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to automate signal classification, anomaly detection, spectrum monitoring, and threat identification.
- Develop performance metrics and analytical frameworks to evaluate spectrum utilization, RF system effectiveness, electronic attack performance, and operational outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of emerging RF technologies, spectrum regulations, UAS communication protocols, electronic warfare capabilities, and evolving electromagnetic threats.
- Ensure compliance with applicable spectrum management policies, security requirements, information assurance standards, and data governance practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years.
- Demonstrated experience supporting spectrum management, RF analysis, electronic warfare, communications systems, or electromagnetic spectrum operations.
- Experience utilizing Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, or similar enterprise data integration and analytics platforms.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytical visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, scripting, or RF analytical applications.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, machine learning applications, or advanced analytics platforms to support spectrum analysis and operational decision-making.
- Knowledge of radio frequency propagation, electromagnetic spectrum operations, wireless communications, signal analysis, and interference mitigation techniques.
- Experience utilizing RF monitoring equipment, spectrum analyzers, software-defined radios (SDRs), signal processing tools, or spectrum management applications.
- Experience analyzing technical documentation, RF performance data, operational assessments, and system performance metrics.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to develop technical documentation, analytical reports, executive briefings, and presentation materials.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings and operational recommendations to senior military and civilian leadership.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operational, intelligence, and acquisition teams in dynamic mission environments.
Desired:
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organizations.
- Familiarity with electronic warfare (EW), electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO), spectrum management, SIGINT, RF sensing, and electronic attack technologies.
- Experience supporting operational test and evaluation, technology demonstrations, experimentation events, or capability development initiatives.
- Knowledge of UAS command and control architectures, RF-based detection systems, electronic support (ES), electronic protection (EP), and electronic attack (EA) capabilities.
- Experience supporting CJADC2, data fusion, common operating picture development, or operational decision-support systems.
- Familiarity with software-defined radios (SDRs), spectrum monitoring systems, RF modeling and simulation tools, digital signal processing (DSP), and AI-enabled spectrum analytics.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,800 - $218,100
