IT Systems Engineer (SE)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Engineer (SE) to join our technical team. As an IT System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our operations. Your expertise will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of system architecture, network management requirement management processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with capturing customer requirements, designing and implementing enterprise level system such as ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop ServiceNow system architecture, including hardware and software components, to meet functional requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and manage system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Document system requirements, configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Install, configure, and deploy server resources provided by third-party cloud services. and software updates.
• Create technical documentation for system configurations and maintaining system-related reports.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for all designed and developed that ensures detailed project documentation.
• Document all system configuration changes in accordance with Information Systems Security best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• An Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field; or 4 years of additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or be able to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
• ServiceNow CSA certification or able to complete CSA training within 3 months of hire.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in design, development, and implementation of software systems (Custom, COTS, GOTS), applications, and related products.
• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter.
• Strong documentation and verbal communication skills to collaborate with and convey focused messages to stakeholders, customers, domain experts, program managers and teammates encompassing architecture, high-level and detail system designs.
• Experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining enterprise level IT systems such as ServiceNow.
• Experience deploying cloud-based enterprise level applications such as in AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Linux administration and deployed Linux based systems
• Experience with system upgrades, patching and regular IT system maintenance
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate with deployment team for approved release packages and break-fix solutions on ServiceNow in accordance with Configuration, Change, and Release Management policies and procedures
• Develop installation instructions and supporting documentation to affect system design deployments
• Work with a team to provide technical input in the areas of system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
• Patches cloud servers and applications, configures software, responds to service outages, monitors system performance, and troubleshoots systems issues

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
