You will complete real-world workloads on enterprise-class systems, collect and analyze performance data, develop automation tools, and present technical findings to collaborators. The role provides direct mentorship, exposure to advanced data center technologies, and hands-on experience with production-scale infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Execute performance validation and benchmarking activities on enterprise servers, GPU-accelerated systems, and data center storage platforms using established test methodologies.
- Configure and run customer-representative workloads, including AI inference, databases, virtualization, checkpointing, or object storage environments.
- Collect, validate, and analyze system and device telemetry to ensure data quality, repeatability, and actionable performance insights.
- Develop or enhance Python-based automation tools for test setup, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Investigate and present findings on a defined performance engineering project, contributing code, documentation, and results back to the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date after the internship concludes.
- Completed coursework in operating systems, computer architecture, systems programming, or closely related subjects.
- Demonstrated experience working in Linux environments, including command-line tools, file systems, processes, and basic system administration.
- Programming experience in Python, C, C++, or a comparable programming language.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience using AI Assisted coding tools to support software development and technical productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
