Intern - Process Development Engineer, Thin Films

Responsibilities
- Support the development, optimization, and characterization of advanced thin film deposition and metallization processes for next-generation DRAM technologies.
- Design and implement experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies and perform statistical analysis to evaluate process performance and drive improvements.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize process and metrology data to identify trends, process interactions, and engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with process, integration, equipment, metrology, and product engineering teams to investigate process excursions, perform root-cause analysis, and support technology development activities.
- Develop and utilize AI-Assisted workflows, AI-Enabled engineering tools, automation solutions, or data analytics methods to improve process monitoring, technical reporting, engineering productivity, and decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering or technical field.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, statistical methods, or engineering research projects.
- Knowledge of materials characterization, semiconductor processing, thin films, or related manufacturing technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor process development, deposition technologies, metallization processes, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience with programming, scripting, automation, data science, or Leveraging AI to support engineering analysis and workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with statistical software, data visualization tools, Python, JMP, MATLAB, R, or similar analytical platforms.
- Experience interpreting metrology and characterization data to evaluate material properties, process capability, or manufacturing performance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
