The Opportunity

The position of Inside Sales Executive is within our Abbott Point of Care business unit located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics in our Lake Mary, Florida office.

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for achieving and/or exceeding defined sales goals and business objectives within an assigned geographic Region, Team, and/or campaign.  The ISR communicates and collaborates with all members of the assigned team. The ISR’s duties may also involve working with third-parties, such as the company’s distribution partners or GPO representatives. 

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and business objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen trust-based relationships with assigned accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and manage inbound inquiries to build pipeline, generate opportunities, and close new business.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs, present value-based solutions, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Navigate complex healthcare sales environments, including hospitals, health systems, physician offices, urgent care centers, laboratories, and other clinical settings.
  • Effectively engage multiple decision-makers, including hospital administrators, department leaders, laboratory managers, point-of-care coordinators, pathologists, supply chain professionals, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Develop and present tailored solutions, pricing proposals, ROI-based recommendations, and contract-related discussions to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive sales through both direct channels and third-party distributor networks.
  • Demonstrate strong product and market knowledge across relevant disease states, care settings, and diagnostic solutions.
  • Lead virtual product demonstrations, customer training sessions, and educational events to support adoption and customer success.
  • Conduct account and market research using Salesforce.com, Power BI, Definitive Healthcare, Hospital Compare, and other available tools to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.
  • Support marketing and customer engagement initiatives, including surveys, campaigns, promotions, customer communications, and event invitations.
  • Coordinate and schedule customer meetings, product demonstrations, and field sales activities as needed.
  • Provide sales support, including quote and proposal development, delivery of promotional materials, and customer or distributor follow-up.
  • Ensure timely follow-through on customer requests, maintaining a high level of responsiveness, urgency, and customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, lead, opportunity, and activity records within Salesforce.com and other CRM systems.
  • Share best practices and collaborate effectively with internal teams to support business objectives and customer success.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and professional standards of conduct.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required

  • 2 Years of Sales Experience and 4 year College Degree Required

Preferred

  • Willingness and ability to relocate within the continental United States for future field or outside sales advancement opportunities.
  • Healthcare, diagnostics, or medical device inside sales experience, including outbound prospecting, cold calling, and achieving conversion goals.
  • Experience with Point-of-Care Testing (POCT), diagnostic technologies, or related healthcare solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of healthcare economics, including pricing, profitability, contract management, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, purchasing processes, and decision-making across hospitals, health systems, laboratories, physician offices, and other care settings.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply technical, clinical, and product-related information in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience conducting virtual product demonstrations, customer training, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business opportunities, develop account strategies, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, develop effective relationships, and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM, reporting, and productivity tools, including Salesforce.com, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Copilot.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve customer and business objectives.
  • Advanced degree and/or additional sales experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$25.00 – $50.00/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
