The Deployables operating Unit of Northrop Grumman's Intelligence Systems Division is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to work with our Industrial engineering team to support Continuous Improvement efforts at our Goleta/Oxnard facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs hands on activities/tasks associated various continuous improvement projects.
  • Tasks may include but are not limited to tool control, establishing 5S systems, supporting Kaizen projects, maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or continuous improvement role
  • Experience managing multiple continuous improvement projects simultaneously
  • Must have experience collecting and evaluating data from end users
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must be willing to travel between Oxnard and Goleta, CA sites as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with others
  • Good analytic skills
  • Good understanding of Lean Principals
  • Ability to lead in a team environment
  • Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation
  • Perform math and measurement functions
  • Collect data and present it in an understandable way.

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
