A Day in the Life

Our Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRM) business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Clinical Specialist/Trainer to be an integral member of our highly successful team to be based in Melbourne, Victoria. This is an excellent role for an individual with strong clinical and training experience in cardiac pacing devices to provide excellent clinical education service to internal and external stakeholders in Victoria and Tasmania.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Partnering with sales colleagues & act as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution to develop and execute account sales strategies for the business unit

  • Providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers by supporting field teams with technical in-services and presentations to customers

  • Conducting on-site education and / or consulting

  • Participating in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness

  • Working closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support

  • Gather market intelligence on customer and competitor activity and communicate to Territory Managers and Divisional Staff

  • Identifying and facilitating execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.

  • Monitor field inventory effectively and ensure appropriate levels relative to demand in locations.

  • Support clinical study activities in conjunction with Territory Manager and the Clinical Research team

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • High School Diploma with minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or Associate Diploma with minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 4 years relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience either in a clinical setting with cardiac pacing devices or cardiac sales

  • Knowledge of education and training techniques; valuable to have certifications in instructional design or adult learning

  • Strong commercial acumen to enable commercial excellence

  • Solutions focused with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business

  • Results-oriented with good organisation and time-management skills, including working independently and unsupervised

  • Ability to understand and communicate novel concepts and ideas

  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for training and development with commitment to teamwork

  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills with demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities

  • Required to travel up to 25%, including local and occasional interstate travel; valid driver’s licence required
