Project Title: Engagement & Retention Analytics
Project Objective / Purpose
As an HR Business Partner Intern at GlobalFoundries, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world where people strategy meets organizational excellence. This internship is designed not only to provide hands-on experience in core HR business partner functions but also to engage you in innovative and impactful projects that directly contribute to the organization’s growth and success. You will work alongside seasoned HR professionals, gaining exposure to our business units and supporting strategic initiatives that shape the future of our company and its talent.
Project Description
The intern will assist the Mfg HRBP on employee engagement & retention analytics, delve into the world of data-driven HR by analyzing historical engagement and retention metrics across departments, learn to interpret data, map out critical touchpoints in the employee lifecycle that influence retention and recommending targeted interventions, participate in workshops or focus groups to gather qualitative insights, provide actionable insights to business leaders, create visual dashboards to support real-time decision making and contribute to strategies that strengthen employee satisfaction and retention.
Project Outcome
By working on the Engagement & Retention Analytics project, the intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of how data-driven HR strategies directly influence organizational success. The intern will be provided with the chance to hone technical and analytical skills, such as interpreting workforce data, building insightful dashboards, and communicating findings to stakeholders. Furthermore, the intern will develop a keen sense for identifying patterns that affect employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention; skills that are invaluable in any forward-thinking HR career.
Required Qualifications
Education - Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Must be in good academic standing.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027.
An inquisitive mindset and a positive, proactive learning attitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
